FUFA: New technical names 2025
Ghanaian Laryea Kingston who was unveiled at the start of this month, will work alongside a backroom staff, mainly composed of former Uganda Cranes players.
Steven Bengo and Saddam Ibrahim Juma will serve as assistant coaches while Yasin Mugabi who works at KCCA FC as a goalkeeping coach will also serve in the same capacity on the national team.
Joram Katende who is also a former player will work as the team manager working alongside Vincent Tumusiime aka Titi Camara as the team coordinator.
Patrick Ssenfuka who played at KCCA FC back in the day will work as the kits manager.
The other appointments include Innocent Jejje (team doctor), Rashid Kebba (Team Physiotherapist) and Aloysious Byamukama as the team media officer.
The first task for the team will be the upcoming CECAFA U17 Zonal Qualifiers slated for 15th November to 4th December 2025 in Ethiopia.
The draws for the groups will be conducted on Friday. Uganda are the defending Champions.
It should be noted the Champion, the losing finalists and the third placed teams qualify to the U17 Africa Cup of Nations.
FIFA starting this year, made the U17 World Cup final an annual event and Africa has 10 slots. Uganda will for the first time ever feature at the global show piece in Qatar starting 3rd November 2025.
