FIFA U17 World Cup: Uganda Cubs final squad
Uganda U17 Men’s Football National Team head coach Brian Ssenyondo has named the final squad that will feature at the upcoming FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar.With just four days to the start of the tournament, the coach has released his final 21-man squad, comprising of three goalkeepers, five defenders, seven midfielders and six forwards.
The team first had a training camp in Uganda, playing several friendly games against KCCA FC, Amus College among others before heading to Dubai, UAE where they have been for the last ten days.
In Dubai, Ssenyondo’s charges had three build up games, drawing against Venezuela and Panama before losing to Paraguay.
Uganda is in Group K that also has Canada, Chile and France and the Cubs will start the tournament on 5th November 2025 against Canada.
It should be noted that this is the first time ever, that an Ugandan football team is appearing at the World Cup.
